Flotsam and Jetsam

Here are updates of links from previous December posts which I've been doing since 2003.
Hanukkah House - Games from ZigZag from 12/10/2004

Christmas in the News - In December 2004, I posted links to several stories regarding censorship of Christmas in public places. These articles came from Beliefnet and a search on their website for Christmas this year shows some of the results of the protests. At the bottom of the page are links to organizations mentioned in the article, including the Religion and Public Education Resource Center which provides a list of resources and assignment suggestions for religion in schools and might be of interest to your education departments as a teaching point for integration of faith and learning.

More later.

Today is World Aids Day. One link you may not have found is from World Vision which lists 10 different suggestions to help focus awareness in the Christian community, including a link to a Global Summit [via] These are events in which academic librarians and their institutions can find many ways to participate and set a model for service.

More later here too. I have to go do my regular job!
