Religion materials
Although our date stamp says received September 30, I've just seen the Booklist spotlighting religion and thought it was worth a brief mention. (The online version still is stuck in September.) If you can pry it from your acquisitions people, give it a look-see.

Halloween links without much commentary
"The Fantasy and Folklore of All Hallows," by Jack Santino from the Library of Congress

Pumpkins and More from the University of Illinois Extension

"A Murder of Scarecrows" Creepy game but fun found a while back at Youth Specialties.
