Update on Mariet Hardy Freeland

Excerpt from the book: "During the fight for State Prohibition, Miss Susan B.Anthony gave a stirring temperance address in the seminary chapel. Mrs. Freeland opened the meeting with prayer. At the close of the service, Miss Anthony came to her with tears in her eyes and thanked her for that prayer. "You do not know how much good that prayer did me," said she. ( p. 175)
Mrs. Freeland also wrote about women at work in the church. The one work in in microfich "Missionary Martyrs," which consists of brief biographies of three women missionaries, Mary E. Carpenter, Mary Louisa Ranf, and Mary E. North, as well as others not mentioned in the citation. This was originally published in Chicago, by T. B. Arnold, 1892.
