Counting and More

*One of the reasons I lurk around business sites is that sometimes I find hidden treasures.
A query on Bus-lib about demographics on religion has yielded two surveys and maybe even more once the questioner tallies the results. According to the e-mail question, the Census does not ask about religion. I haven't had time to research that but if anyone else know, feel free to respond in the comments which is back on.
Two sites which do survey Religion are The Glennary Research Center for Catholic data and The American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS) which covers all demographics on denominations and faiths. While you are in this site look at the books under resources for possible additions to your collection. I was particularly taken by reviews of two titles: Why Religion Matters by Hustad Smith and The Culture of Disbelief: How American Law and Politics Trivialize Religion by Stephen L. Carter. The last book is over 10 years old and seems prophetic in nature.

*I so want this and this for Christmas! [via]
