New Illuminations

If you like NPR, you may have seen--or rather heard-- this feature about St. John's Bible. It's a fascinating project to illuminate the Bible using both modern ideas and ancient techniques. In an era when cheap mass production and quick and dirty are often the choice, a project like this is exciting and awe inspiring. Did I mention the illustrations that have been posted to the web are wonderful. The website is rich with information, including video, slides, and pictures of the various kinds of illumination.
