Resolutions

Here we are 5 days into a New Year already shaped by a Tsunami, the actual one which brought devastation and grief to thousands and the resulting information which engulfs us but at the same time seems to miss the point by trying to find crass reasons here and here for the outpouring of donations and assistance. The Paradoxical Commandments by Kent M. Keith come to mind. (The first link background, the second the list.) Resolve to follow some if not all?

A quick search under "Theodicy" retrieved over 30 books on the problem of a Good and Evil and God. I don't have a favorite title, although the book by MacGregor Geddes, He who Lets Us Be: A Theology of Love, sounds intriguing. Do you have one you to which you refer others ?

Under "Suffering--Biblical teaching," 8 titles surfaced and the title Joy Through the Night from IV Press came up. I confess I haven't read either and resolve to do so.
