About the time that Hurricane Charley slammed into Southwest Florida, I was on my way to a Women of Faith Conference in Buffalo. At this point, I don't know which event will have more lasting impact on me. The first was like runs in nylons--looked for but not really wanted. It represented the random destructive capriciousness that often compromises our world . The second, I and several thousand other women had been anticipating for over 6 months. It was a well planned, coordinated effort to build each other up in faith. We were reminded of the Unchanging Rock on which our faith stands, and the Conference also rocked!

My heart and prayers go out to those who lost loved ones and property Friday and Saturday.

I'm glad you had a great conference. And isn't Buffalo a wonderful city. We were there last week. http://collectingmythoughts.blogspot.com/2004/08/415-update-on-trip-to-buffalo-day-two.html
