Last fall I planted tulip bulbs around the edge of my mini rose garden, and within a few weeks forgot all about them until the other day when the snow finally melted and there were leaves. I suppose there's some important lesson there but I just like the excitement I felt when I saw tiny green spears poking up.

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and green is definitely a go here. Unfortunately, the weather says snow and more snow for us.
I know the crocuses and tulips will take it in stride.
