African-American and Women's History link

Black and Christian.com is a site appropriate for Black History which I was unable to locate religious resources for it at the time. It also features Black women who have played important roles in the Black churches. (The links here do not easily come back to my blog for some reason.)

The Church in the Southern Black Community from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Libraries "focuses, through slave narratives and observations by other African American authors, on how the black community adapted evangelical Christianity, making it a metaphor for freedom, community, and personal survival." Lots of primary source material.
