Unusual Trees

Although Christmas trees don't feature in the original story and actually come from other traditions, decorating trees at Christmas has become a great tradition. One of my childhood memories was the tree my Dad for many years usually obtained from the school after they were finished with it.
We had terrific bubbly lights and glass ornaments [most have broken] with carols printed on them. Under the tree were the gifts we had made for our parents as well as something for us. If I could get my sister to illustrate it, I would write a story about it. Alas, it would have to be self-published.
