Back Again

Although I needed the break, I missed writing.  In fact, I tried to post earlier last week but couldn't log on.  Actually, we have not had any new religious reference resources for a while.  The only one we've acquired has been the Praeger Handbook of Religion and Education in the United States - a 2 volume set edited by James C. Carper and Thomas C. Hunt.  It appears to cover a variety of topics related to religion in the Elementary and Secondary School System as well as background reading on legal issues. The appendix has a list of the Supreme Court Cases on Religious Liberty in chronological order. Without doing much comparison to other similar works, the articles appear to be sufficiently developed for a good understanding of the issues. Parochial and private school education also have articles devoted to them. Worldcat indicates that many libraries own this set and I hope they are pointing interested patrons toward it.
