All Saints Day

I did a search on my website and (gasp!) can't find anything about this day. I was sure I had posted about All Saints Day before. First observation is that, as far as I can tell, no card company celebrates All Saints Day. What!!! NO cards to buy and send? Where is the enterprise in that?

Second observation is that I found several links at Faith Streams for this day.
Third observation - no library I know of is celebrating All Saints Day--aside from some comparison the H day. No contests, no special displays, no marketing. What a waste! Surely Christianity should have equal time with a pagan holiday!

I think I'll have to go lie down and rest a while from all these discoveries. I'm just too, too overwrought.
On to Thanksgiving!
Well, I've used my quota of exclamation points for the semester.

I suspect some Catholic school libraries may be celebrating All Saints Day... for example, a Catholic school in the local area has the children dress up for All Saints Day, as Saints of course! :) Thus, it is possible the libraries at these schools are celebrating as well!

I thought about blogging it on the library's page, but I didn't.

I did make "saints" the password for a test today, but the students thought it was the football team.
