I forgot to give a nod to Rebecca's Pocket for the link to the above video. I've been thinking about clutter and management in libraries for as long as I've been a librarian. I appreciate all those sites, such as 43 folders or Creation Halt who give helpful tips and shortcuts for keeping one's head above water. Since libraries are in a collecting business, clutter-creep occurs without much effort. And if one is by nature a hoarder and works in a library, clutter might multiply exponentially. Maybe I'm only getting paid enough to shift papers, but that's not what I want on my epitaph!
