It's teeth chattering cold here! The first four lines of Keat's poem, St. Agnes Eve, comes to mind. St. Agnes is one of the early Christian martyrs. A Google search for St. Agnes Eve brought up poems, pictures, legends, and some biographical entries for her. Anyway, I wonder if she would have liked all of the associations to cold weather?


Top Ten Books

John Wilson in an article for Books and Culture, lists the most memorable books for 2003. I haven't read any of them, although I've seen reviews for some. At the end of the article, He also lists what he considers is the worst book of the year. What do you think? My TBR pile just keeps growing!
